Three Very Cool Things

Due to computer problems I'm having, I was unable to DJ at my event last night. I'm confident I can get these problems figured out, but it's going to take time. I might even enlist the aid of a local computer shop. They have all the diagnostic tools which I am lacking. So Emi, ever so helpful and thoughtful, asked Alobar and sami to fill in for me as DJ and host, to which they agreed.

Alo typically plays blues but last night he touched on a little bit of everything. It was a "Come As You Are" event and it was a lot of fun. Alo is really good at trivia so I fired up the trivia ball and he and Darren went at it. Emi and Clancy were there, Zuri was with Darren and Alo and sami's friend Lulu showed up. She was holding her own in trivia too. It was great having Nite back again and I had three old friends show up! First of all Licia showed up in a white bikini. She and I danced for most of the event. Then Nezzy and mikia popped in! I had not seen those two in such a long time. Nezzy had been to one of the beach events about a month or so ago, but mikia has not been online in a long time. I'm flattered that they chose to spend their limited time at our event. It was so nice catching up with them too.

Near the end of the event, my luscious cat shows up. I took a few dances with her and found that she was going to be able to stay online for a while. In the mean time, Darren and Zuri are making wedding plans! They were trying to figure out how to have their ceremony when all their friends could be online together. They were shooting for Sunday evening but cat could not be certain when she could be online over the weekend so Zuri made the call; the wedding is to be right now!

So after the event, we said our goodbyes, donned formal attire and Darren TP'd us. Darren and Zuri had been working on an outdoor chapel up in their massive skybox. It was very nicely done. So without any rehearsal, I was informed that I would officiate. Cat was TP'd away to be with Zuri as she prepared for the wedding. Some of the couple's very close friends showed up including Robot and of course Emi and Clancy among others. Zuri was absolutely stunning in her wedding gown. A white flowing outfit which showed lots and lots of skin, which is how it should be in my humble opinion. Nat and cat wore brides maids gowns. The vows were short but very sweet and moving. I love weddings.

After the ceremony, we were invited down to their beach for dancing. I was itching to get out of my tux so I was glad for the new location. After yanking cat into the water to battle a monster octopus with me, I unleashed her and we began dancing and congratulating the happy couple. Needless to say, any friends of Zuri's and Darren's must be awesome people. The conversations were fun and uplifting. There's nothing like a celebration with good friends. There's nothing like a romantic wedding either. I do love weddings but I swore I would never get married again, but...

"Will you marry me?"

I could not help myself. Here I had my pet in my arms. She deserves nothing less than the very very best I can give her and that means anything and everything. I was suddenly overcome with love and joy and dropped down on my knee right then and there and asked her to marry me. It may not have been the best time or place for the proposal, but it sure felt right. Fortunately, she agreed to my proposal and we ended up having something else to celebrate that night too.



After the celebration, I took cat home and tucked her into bed. It was the most memorable night for me ever. I look forward to making the wedding plans and such, but there is lots of time. I have my underwater project to see to also and cat has been enjoying helping me with that. Now we have another project to work on together.
