What A Weekend!!!!

First of all, I need to talk about my new computer. What a wonderful thing. It's got a Pentium quad processor and tons of HD space. It's huge and it's heavy. That's good, right? And it makes less noise than my old (less than two years old) computer. So that's good, right? Well, it loads apps fast.. Lightning fast. I'm still amazed at how quickly it loads Second Life. My old computer would take at least a full minute to get to the splash screen. This one is there in seconds! I love it. But there's one problem... SL looks like shit in it. The underwater textures are either black or I shut off atmospheric textures and it's sandy as it should be, but then the sky above 1000 meters is charcoal black. What a piece of shit 3D card. So naturally I thought to put my old graphics card into the new computer. No go. The power supply cannot handle it. So next time I have time I'm going to swap power supplies and 3D cards. I'll keep you posted.

But for now, I have to focus on getting my RL work computer up and running and fortunately, everything was backed up. Getting to the backups has proved to be a challenge, but I know the files are there and I'm up to the task. Microsoft Windows is such a whore when it comes to restoring files. They are so paranoid that someone is going to copy something they shouldn't that they make it nearly impossible for someone to restore software and data that they have paid hard earned good money for. I say this now and I will strive to never say it again, but it's my credo... FUCK MICROSOFT SYSTEM REGISTRY!

Relocated Crimson Nights

Alo and sami opened their new parcel for Crimson this weekend. I was honored to be invited to the christening. The DJ there was off the wall and when I grow up, I want to be just like him. I wonder if he teaches classes? Anyway, the old Crimson Nights is still there although a little bit different looking. You will still rez into a stage in front of everyone, which has always seem daunting to me, but you will also be greeted by everyone. Is there a method to Alo's madness? I dunno. In the end, let's just say I ended up dancing with my cock sock on and not much else except a smile. I had fun! That DJ was awesome! I hope to remember his name someday so that I can invite him to my place for an event at his discretion. He had every type of music.

Who did I end up dancing with that night? Well, it wasn't my cat because she had RL to attend to (which MUST come first in my book, always) and it wasn't Lark - who is green with envy I'm sure because she was RL unable to attend the relocation - instead it was with someone who's name I cannot remember... I know, I'm a turd... She was a very nice girl and we ended up dancing naked and it felt wonderful, but in the end, I had to leave her due to the time of night. Thank you wonderful naked girl, whomever you were!!!!!!!!!!!

After that incredible DJ was finished, I excused myself and headed for home to update some much needed questions for my trivia ball for Cherry Street. Alo's sub, sami and I got to IMing and I was pleasantly surprised to get to know her better. She has been a friend for a long time due to my friendship with Alo, but I never really did IM her directly on a more personal level. As I suspected, she is a wonderful woman. My buddy Alo is not an idiot and I'm sure he picks the best women. Sami is for sure, no exception. I invited her over to mine and cat's place and we had a wonderful visit. I cherish out time together with sami. I hope there will be many more.

Getting to know my best bud's sub and realizing what a lucky guy he is

I finally forced my DJ applications to cooperate with me so I'll be able to host and DJ parties this coming week. Hell, once I figured out the problems, I thought about throwing a party that night, but Emi was not in the mood for it and I cannot function properly without her aide. So I just wandered through inventory and played a few games of Solo Greedy. I did some exploring too, to find fun places for cat and I to explore when we have free time in the future. Oh, I hope her submissive mind can handle what I have in store for her!

Did I mention that not only is cat my submissive and that she is my SL partner and that I intend to wed her, but that I love her? Just making sure... She has made my SL incredible, beyond all hopes and expectations. She is my submissive, totally, but I belong to her too. I hate saying goodbye to her after some very brief encounters, but I would not trade those goodbyes for anything else in SL.
